At Prohi5.com, the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance to us. This privacy policy document outlines the types of personal information is received and collected by Prohi5.com and how it is used.

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

Prepared Development operates several websites including prohi5.com, prepareddevelopment.com, gigs4gags.com, and broadwaysourcing.com. It is Prepared Development policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Like many website operators, Prepared Development collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers usually make available, such as the browser type, referring site, language preference, and the time and date of each visitor request. Prepared Development’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Prepared Development’s visitors use its website. From time to time, Prepared Development may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Prepared Development also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blogs. Prepared Development only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was added.

Collecting Personally-Identifying Information

Some visitors to Prepared Development’s websites choose to interact with Prepared Development in ways that require Prepared Development to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Prepared Development gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive Prohi5 updates via email, we collect their emails. Prepared Development does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caution that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Collecting and Analyzing Statistics

Prepared Development may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For example, Prepared Development may monitor the most popular pages on the Prohi5.com site or use spam screened by the Akismet anti-spam service or Brute Protect service to help identify spam or Google Analytics to analyze how people are using our website on each platform.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Prohi5.com does use cookies to store information about visitors preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser. We do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

We also use third party advertisements on Prohi5.com to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Examples of Cookies we use:

  • Session Cookies. We use Session Cookies to operate our Service.
  • Preference Cookies. We use Preference Cookies to remember your preferences and various settings.
  • Security Cookies. We use Security Cookies for security purposes.

DoubleClick DART cookies

We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”).

The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Las Vegas, you may see Las Vegas hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers.

You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

Comments Policy

Comments and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service or Brute Protect service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Log Files

As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Prepared Development may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Prepared Development’s sole discretion. Prepared Development encourages visitors to frequently visit this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
